Meet Caitilin Gilbert, MA, CCC-SLP

Founder & Speech-Language Pathologist

Caitilin Gilbert, MA, CCC-SLP, is the founder of Symphony Speech Services and a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping clients of all ages communicate with greater confidence. She holds a B.A. in Communicative Disorders with a Minor in Spanish from the University of Alabama, and an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Caitilin is known for her warm, encouraging approach and believes every client deserves care that is individualized, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Her connection to speech therapy is both personal and professional. Caitilin received speech therapy herself through early intervention and school-based services, has a close friend with a cochlear implant, and witnessed the impact of therapy through her grandmother's recovery after a stroke. Those experiences shaped her perspective from an early age and continue to influence the compassion and care she brings to every session.

Through Symphony Speech Services, Caitilin has created a supportive, community-centered practice where children, teens, adults, and families can feel seen, encouraged, and empowered. She believes therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Instead, it should reflect the whole person, including their goals, background, strengths, and individual way of learning.

In addition to her clinical background, Caitilin brings a musical and culturally responsive perspective to her work. Her training in voice, violin, and piano, along with clinical internship experiences in Madrid and Valencia, Spain, have helped shape the way she thinks about voice, communication, rhythm, and expression.
